Goals 

The aim of the Master’s and Ph.D. programs in the Department of Nanotechnology Engineering is; to contribute to the knowledge and educated manpower of our country with multidisciplinary studies to be carried out between the units in the faculties of engineering, science, and medicine. Studies will be carried out in this field in existing and new research centers and projects will be realized for the development of new technologies. Students enrolled in the Master’s and Ph.D. programs will learn the basics necessary to understand, design, and apply advanced technology materials throughout their studies.

Objectives

To train researchers who can conduct experimental and theoretical research in the field of nanotechnology engineering and who can take part in national and international projects.


About Us

Nanotechnology, materials at the nanometer level; It represents all of the rapidly developing interdisciplinary research and development activities that examine the design, manufacture, assembly, characterization, and applications of functional systems derived from these materials. Nanotechnology researchers from branches such as device physics, materials science, electronics, chemistry, biology, etc.

It has been accepted that reaching the most important scientific and technological goals of the present and the future is through nanotechnology research. In our country, nanotechnology has been included in the scope of strategic technology areas in the National Science and Technology Policies 2003-2023 strategy document.

The aim of the Master's and Doctorate programs of the Department of Nanotechnology Engineering; with interdisciplinary studies to be carried out between the departments of engineering, science, and medicine faculties, it is necessary to contribute to the knowledge and trained qualified scientists in this field of our country. Additionally, Nanotechnology Engineering interdisciplinary graduate programs, it is aimed to train researchers who can carry out experimental and theoretical research in the field of nanotechnology engineering and take part in national and international projects. For these purposes, faculty members from different branches came together to establish an interdisciplinary nanotechnology program, since 2014, they have been studied education, training, and research at the graduate level.

In the nanotechnology engineering interdisciplinary graduate programs, it is aimed to train researchers who can carry out experimental and theoretical research in the field of nanotechnology engineering and take part in national and international projects. As today's technology is getting smaller and smaller in materials and processes, engineers specializing in nanotechnology are gaining more and more importance. The nanotechnology engineering graduate program has an interdisciplinary structure that concerns science and health sciences. Department of Nanotechnology Engineering continues to provide graduate-level education since the 2014 fall semester under the chairmanship of Prof.Dr.Baki HAZER.
